CMS Mark ANNOUNCEMENT

Our recent successful meeting with The LHC Network confirmed that they now accept any Third Party certified system, such as the CENSolutions CMS MARK. This follows hot on the heels of a meeting with the Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) and CENSolutions Ltd subsequent announcement that the NIHE accepts CENSolutions Ltd, as a provider of independent 3rd party certification.

The LHC Network is a not-for-profit, local government organisation, which has over 40 years experience of providing procurement solutions for all public sector buildings. It is the UK's largest public service consortium for the procurement of building components, services and contractors. The NIHE has been the largest specifier of products into the Northern Ireland Social Housing sector for many years. Independent 3rd party certification of manufacturers has always been a pre-requisite when supplying products such as insulating glass units, windows and doors for installation into NIHE housing stock.

It is now over 2 years since the NHBC (National House Building Council) accepted our CMS Mark as proof that IGU manufacturers comply with all the requirements of EN 1279 and as such sealed units manufactured under this Quality Mark will meet NHBC requirements. Previously, NHBC have only accepted units bearing either the BSI Kitemark or the BMTRADA Q-Mark.

The products covered by the CENSolutions Ltd CMS Quality Mark are as follows, toughened safety glass EN 12150 / EN 12600, insulating glass units EN 1279:2/3 and finally windows and doors EN 14351.

To qualify for our CMS Mark, EN1279 manufacturers must be able to demonstrate:

  • Their Factory Production Control system complies with EN 1279 Part 6.
  • They have made a declaration of conformity complying with the requirements of EN 1279 Part 5, annex ZA.
  • Their IGU's have passed EN 1279 Part 2 (& 3 if applicable).
  • Their IGU's have passed the ongoing testing requirements to 1279 Part 6 (Periodic and UV).
  • Have been audited successfully by CENSolutions Ltd under our Compliance Management System (CMS) - on a six monthly basis.

For compliance to other EN Standards a similar process needs to be followed and compliance demonstrated.
